WICKS FLYING
| Vic
Superkart Round 3 has been run and won with
yet another uninteresting contest in Rotax
Heavies. In fact, there was no contest at
all, since Mark Wicks drove off into the distance
as usual, causing many competitors to question
not only the point of their involvement in
the sport, but the whole meaning of life in
general. |

Rod
Clark did offer up a brief challenge in race 2,
but it was due mainly to Wicks' being momentarily
distracted by a family of Ibis nesting on the
Phillip Island infield. This was to be Wicks'
main challenge for the day. "They are whopping
big birds" said Wicks during his post-race Swedish
massage session. "I mean, can you imagine if one
of those babies hits you in the face at 170 klicks??
Whooo! Splatt!" he said, continuing on with more
childish noises, which got so annoying we decided
to go and interview someone else.
