Timber Flooring
This rich characteristic grain flooring is reminiscent of the grand floors found in Southern Mansions, City Halls and grand homes of the USA in yesteryear. The timeless beauty of American Oak flooring compliments both contemporary and traditional architecture lending a feeling of warmth and elegant beauty to any home. Oxford Oak makes one of the most stable engineered timber floors available on the Australian market, with up to 6mm wear layer on top of a cross section of hardwood birch veneer. It can be re-sanded several times and therefore has a long lifespan in excess of 60 years if well maintained. They are available in natural tones and are wide boards, a highly desirable look. These are significantly more stable than solid plantation timber. The boards will undertake significantly less shrinkage, expansion or cupping, if at all.* Local Species *Disclaimer: Where laying over concrete slab sub-floor, ensure that your builder or contractor undertakes a concrete slab moisture test in accordance with AS/NZ standards prior to any installation. Any timber is naturally variable in its appearance and tendency to expand and contract. Some movement should be expected.
